How can I help
All art therapy sessions with me are held online to increase accessibility for those who may not be able to attend a session in person. To access my services, you will need to be able to have a device that can handle video conferencing, a stable internet connection and a selection of art materials with you. All sessions are confidential. In our sessions you can develop a positive therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, safe, held and valued, which allows you an opportunity to work through any emotional issues you may be experiencing at your pace.
For working with me as an organisation on a freelance basis, I can provide one to one art therapy sessions, group art therapy blocks or provide one off events for staff well being. I am particularly interested in working with staff who are in a position of caring for those with high support needs. Please get in touch with any inquiries.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Client A, Individual Online Therapy
Jo created a very safe and supportive space during my time in therapy with her. The timing of our sessions was invaluable and really helped me through some very challenging moments. The sessions were also helpful, as we looked back over the last couple of years and were able to unpick some understanding, that would have taken me much longer to get to without therapy.
Client B, Individual Online Therapy
Jo was fantastic. I found the art therapy that was incorporated into the session very helpful especially when I find it difficult to verbalise things. Jo was very engaging and challenged me on things which I found helpful also allowing me gain another perspective on things. I would recommend Jo friends and family.
Client C, Individual Online Therapy

Frequently Asked Questions
You may have a lot of questions, and you can always talk to me if you have them, however, here are the most common questions about art therapy.
Do I have to be good at art?
No, you do not need to be "good" at art to engage with art therapy. Art therapy is about the journey of creating the art and how we express ourselves, not with intentions of creating "good" art.
Do I need expensive art materials?
No, you can use whatever is accessible at home with you. For some, this may mean paper and pens, and others may want to have access to more art materials.
What can I expect?
Your 60 minute session is yours to use for as you wish; once we have established a connection on the Microsoft Teams call, we will begin our session together. You may choose to talk, to create, or to simply be together on the call.
Who can benefit from it?
Art therapy is beneficial to all stages of life from childhood all the way up to elder life.If you have any questions about the suitability of art therapy for you or your loved one, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me.
